Motivation: Despite improvements in detection and treatment, human cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection is the main cause of morbi-mortality in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients. Several efforts have been made to develop a vaccine to prevent CMV infection. However, no vaccine had been licenced to date.
