Assessment of Students' Knowledge in Medical Technical Institute/Baghdad about Tuberculosis diseases تقييم معارف الطلبة في المعهد التقني الطبي/بغداد حول مرض السل

Abstract:-Objective: A purposive study aims to identify the student knowledge about tuberculosis diseaseMethods: The sample of (120) student was selected from the first class from the medical departments in to institute for the period from December 15, 2011 to December 15, 2012. The questionnaire was designed to achieve the aims of study, it was consist of many parts, the first content the demographic information, the second part include knowledge of students about categories that infected with tuberculosis. The third part include the student knowledge of the signs of disease, the fourth content methods of transmission of disease, and the last part include the student information about the methods of protection of tuberculosis disease. Data were analyzed by using frequency distribution,percentage ,mean, and cut of point, used grand mean to answer the level of (yes , No).Results: The results showed that (58.3%) female was at age (18-20)year, and the lowest percentage (1.7%) of sample was at age (30-33) year. (73.3%) of student lived in Baghdad city, the study revealed, the student knowledge about the categories that infected with tuberculosis, it register (1.7), grand mean above the cut of point (1.5).Also the study showed (1.6) grand mean for the student information about the signs of disease, it reveled above cut of point while the grand mean showed(1.4) about the protection methods.Conclusion: The study revealed that the student knowledge was acceptable for all variables of the categories that infected with tuberculosis, the signs of disease, the transportation, while the student information about the method of protection from disease reveled low.Recommendation: Doing health education about tuberculosis disease, signs &symptoms, transportation, and protection of the disease, early detection,and give immediate reports about the infected case. keyword: Assessment, Students' Knowledge ,Tuberculosis diseasesالخلاصة:- الهدف :- تهدف الدراسة للتعرف على معلومات الطلبة عن مرض التدرن .منهجيةالبحث:- تم اختيار (120) طالب وطالبة من المرحلة الأولى للأقسام الطبية الموجودة في المعهد للفترة من 15/12/2011 لغاية 15/12/2012, تم تصميم استمارة استبيانية معدة لغرض تحقيق أهداف الدراسة والتي تضمنت عدة محاور , الأول يحتوي على المعلومات الديموغرافية , الحور الثاني يتضمن معلومات الطلبة حول الفئات المعرضة للإصابة بالتدرن , المحور الثالث يتضمن معلومات الطلبة عن إعراض المرض المحور الرابع يشمل معلومات الطلبة حول طرق انتقال المرض والحور الخامس يحتوي على معلومات الطلبة حول طرق الوقاية من مرض التدرن , تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام التوزيع التكراري والنسب المئوية ,الوسط الحسابي وتم احتساب نقطة القطع واحتساب معدل المتوسط لمستويات الإجابة ب(نعم,كلا).النتائج :- أظهرت النتائج أن نسبة الإناث (58,3%) ضمن الفئة العمرية (18-20) سنة وان اقل نسبة(1,7%) من العينة ضمن الفئة العمرية (30-33) سنة وان (73,3%) من الطلبة هم من سكتة بغداد ,وقد أشارت الدراسة لمعلومات الطلبة حول الفئات المعرضة للإصابة بالتدرن حيث كلن متوسط المعدل (1,7) أعلى من نقطة القطع (1,5) . وقد سجلت الدراسة ايضآ (1,6) معدل المتوسط لمعلومات الطلبة حول طرق انتقال المرض وكان اعلى من نقطة القطع , في حين سجل معدل المتوسط (1,4) لمعلومات الطلبة حول طرق الوقاية من مرض التدرن وكانت اقل من نقطة القطع.الاستنتاجات:- أشارت الدراسة إلى أن معلومات الطلبة كانت مقبولة لجميع الفقرات الخاصة بالفئات المعرضة للإصابة بالتدرن وطرق انتقال المرض في حين كانت معلومات الطلبة حول طرق الوقاية من مرض التدرن ضعيفة .التوصيات :- إجراء ندوات تثقيفية حول مرض التدرن ,إعراضه ,فترة ظهور المرض ,طرق انتقاله, وطرق الوقاية منه والكشف المبكر والإبلاغ الفوري عن حالت الإصاب
