The aim of the research is to know wether communicative approach in teaching narrative writing give significant impact on the students’ learning achievement. This is due to the fact that writing is the most difficult skill in learning English. The method of the research is a quantitative research by comparing the score between the learning achievement before and after the instruction using communicative approach.
