Hypertensive disorders complicate 10-20% of pregnancies and are the major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Preeclampsia occurs in approximately 5% of all pregnancies, 10% in primiparas, and 20-25% in women with a previous history of arterial hypertension. Eclampsia complicates 1 in 2000 pregnancies. Purpose of the study It is acquainted with the pathologies of preeclampsia, eclampsia and the assessment of knowledge and skills regarding the management of eclampsia in nurses and midwives at Queen Geraldine Maternity Hospital, Tirana.
