none1noThe road system and residential quarters of Tharros have been discovered during nine archaeological missions by Gennaro Pesce since 1956 and some limited excavations until last ten years. In recent years, the study and relief activities on the living area are restarted, with the aim to verify the existence of features attributable to a “Punic urban planning”, restarting from data existing in scientific literature and fieldwork. Three different structural phases are recognised in the road system, which have brought to some changes in routes and road traffic. The fieldwork has also concerned the sewer system, probably carved into the rock before Middle Punic Age. Therefore, the analysis of the ruins has allowed to identify some feature...
