The present paper addresses the attitudes ofKazakhstani students towards Kazakh-English code switching.The issue of Kazakh-English code switching has been the focus ofsome research in Kazakhstan quite recently; therefore,researches in this field are in the development stage and arehighly relevant. The paper also briefly describes the role and theplace of English in the linguistic space of Kazakhstan. In order todetermine the attitude towards Kazakh-English code switching,the study investigated 100 Kazakh-speaking students of highereducational institutions of Astana (Kazakhstan).
