Tesis 409aim of the investigation was to develop an educational project to promote the prevention of the human papilloma virus in regards to the cervical cancer directed to students of tenth degree of the Escuela Normal Superior del Quindío. The study was of descriptive type performed in three stages: a diagnostic, an intervention and one of evaluation; the instruments were an initial survey, a final questionnaire and a general interview. The sample was 204 students in ages between 14 and 19 years. The initial survey reflected a marked lack of knowledge on the subject matter, in which only 41.7 % of the polled ones knew the relation that exists between the HPV and the cervical cancer, 75.5 % of them answered that the most common way...
