Proyecto Educativo Para La Prevención Del Virus Del Papiloma Humano En Relación Al Cáncer De Cérvix Dirigido A Estudiantes De Grado Décimo De La Escuela Normal Superior Del Quindío, Armenia

Tesis 409aim of the investigation was to develop an educational project to promote the prevention of the human papilloma virus in regards to the cervical cancer directed to students of tenth degree of the Escuela Normal Superior del Quindío. The study was of descriptive type performed in three stages: a diagnostic, an intervention and one of evaluation; the instruments were an initial survey, a final questionnaire and a general interview. The sample was 204 students in ages between 14 and 19 years. The initial survey reflected a marked lack of knowledge on the subject matter, in which only 41.7 % of the polled ones knew the relation that exists between the HPV and the cervical cancer, 75.5 % of them answered that the most common way of getting infected is through sexual contact sexual contact and 50 % were not aware of the symptoms. The stage of intervention was based on three forms of learning (interactive, collaborative and significant) and as result a positive attitude was obtained towards the project, this was reflected in the teamwork and in overall participation; followed to this in the third stage, when evaluating with the final questionnaire a higher level of appropriation of the topic was obvious, demonstrating statistically significant differences in the results obtained between the stage it diagnoses and the evaluation; which allows us to state and show the importance of applying this type of projects in the educational institutions, and, of being able, in this way, to generate habits of selfcare through pertinent and effective educational strategies.El objetivo de la investigación fue desarrollar un proyecto educativo para fomentar la prevención del virus del papiloma humano con relación al cáncer de cuello uterino dirigido a estudiantes de grado décimo de la Escuela Normal Superior del Quindío. El estudio fue de tipo descriptivo, realizado en tres etapas: una diagnóstica, una de intervención y una de evaluación; los instrumentos utilizados fueron una encuesta inicial, un cuestionario final y una entrevista general. La muestra fue de 204 estudiantes con edades entre 14 y 19 años. La encuesta inicial reflejo un alto desconocimiento sobre la temática, en la cual tan solo el 41.7% de los encuestados conocían la relación que existe sobre el VPH y el Cáncer de cuello uterino, el 75.5% respondió que la forma más común de infección se daba mediante el contacto sexual y el 50% desconocía totalmente los síntomas. La etapa de intervención estuvo fundamentada en tres formas de aprendizaje (interactivo, colaborativo y significativo) y como resultado se obtuvo una actitud positiva frente al proyecto, lo que se reflejó en el trabajo en equipo y en su participación; seguido a esto en la tercera etapa, al evaluar con el cuestionario final se notó una apropiación mucho mayor del tema, evidenciando diferencias estadísticamente significativas en los resultados obtenidos entre la etapa diagnóstica y de evaluación; lo cual nos permite demostrar la importancia de aplicar este tipo de proyectos en las instituciones educativas y así poder generar hábitos de autocuidado a través de estrategias educativas pertinentes y eficaces.PregradoLicenciado en Biología y Educación Ambienta
