This work explores the perceptions of tsa’chila people regarding health interculturalism. Interculturalism is promoted by Ecuadorian Constitution from 2008 in a notable advance of public policy, as a main result of recognition of people diversity in Ecuador as well as their activism. Health interculturalism happens in daily basis. However, those practices occur outside of regulation allowing an informal medical pluralism. The tsa’chila indigenous people, with about 2900 inhabitants, have had an extended reputation for their traditional medicine. It is currently experiencing the changes of a not known modernity.
