Add to ORKGPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti strategi penguatan guru dan respon siswa dalam aktifitas kelas bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan April sampai bulan Mei 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Data dari penelitian ini adalah ujaran guru dan respon siswa dari penguatan yang digunakan oleh guru. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas 8 di SMP Negeri 2 Jakarta. Alat penelitian ini adalah observasi kelas dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa lima strategi yang digunakan oleh guru; verbal reinforcement, gestural reinforcement, proximity reinforcement, activity reinforcement and token reinforcement.
