The objective of this case study research was to discover and assess the most critical issues that may surface during the conversion process from the current ERP system of the case organisation to a new ERP system to be implemented shortly, especially concerning operational purchasing. During this study, the issues were analysed from a theoretical and a qualitative empirical point of view. In the theoretical part this thesis discovered that purchasing is a topic that may greatly affect the overall and financial performance of an organisation.
