FIRE PROTECTION ON THE ISLAND MLJET

U ovom radu objašnjene su opasnosti i mjere zaštite od požara na otoku Mljetu. Prije praktičnog dijela rada, objašnjen je proces gorenja i gašenja požara s posebnim osvrtom na šumske požare, odnosno vrste šumskih požara, metode gašenja, sredstva, uređaje, opremu i tehniku koja se koristi te taktika gašenja šumskog požara.This paper explains the fire hazards and fire protection measures on the island of Mljet. The practical part of the paper is preceded by a theoretical explanation of burning and extinguishing processes, with special emphasis on wildfires, i.e. the types of wildfires, the extinguishing methods, the means, devices, equipment and vehicles used, as well as the wildfire suppression tactics
