Roman fibulae from Danilo (Rider)

Fibule predstavljaju čestu i značajnu vrstu arheoloških nalaza. U ranije rimsko doba one se razvijaju iz prapovijesnih oblika, a tijekom zrelog i kasnijeg razdoblja se javljaju čisti rimski oblici s brojnim tipovima i varijantama. Fibule omogućavaju određivanje arheološkog konteksta i dataciju, te ukazuju na društveni i ekonomski status nositelja, kao i na gospodarske i trgovačke prilike razdoblja iz kojeg potječu. Na prostoru rimskog Ridera evidentirano je 36 fibula i nekoliko fragmenata fibula. Riječ je o lučnim fibulama: Certosa fibulama, Jezerina tipu, Alesia i Aucissa tipovima, snažno profiliranom tipu, koljenastim i lukovičastim fibulama, te drukčije oblikovanim fibulama: omega, prstenastim, pločastim i zoomorfnim fibulama. Fibule se danas čuvaju u Muzeju grada Šibenika, a njihov broj sigurno će porasti budućim arheološkim istraživanjima.Fibulae (brooches) represent common and important kind of archaeological findings. In early Roman period they develop from prehistorical forms, but during later Roman period occur pure roman shapes with numerous types and variants. Fibulae allow determination of an archaeological context and dating, they indicate on owners' social and economical status and on economy and trade of the period. On the terittory of Rider 36 pieces of fibulae and few fragments are registered. There are arched fibulae types: Certosa, Jezerine, Alesia, Aucissa, strongly profilated fibula, knee and bulb-headed fibulae. Except these, there are also types that are shaped on the other way (non-arched fibula): Omega, ring fibulae, shield fibulae and zoomorphic fibulae. These brooches are kept in the Šibenik City Museum and the number of them will surely increase in the future archaological excavations
