Installations as data centers, diagnostic or life-support medical equipment, and air traffic control, are protected by an uninterruptible power supply or UPS to prevent fails in their operation by disturbances on electrical grid. This research work develops a converter that will compose a UPS system and, during the normal operation of the power grid, will operate as a Boost Half-Bridge voltage doubler rectifier and, in the grid fails, the battery bank will be the input source and the converter operates as a Buck-Boost DC-DC. The topology has a midpoint on the output bus connected to the grid neutral and the negative pole of the battery bank, making the converter naturally immune to common mode current, therefore, low electromagnetic noise e...
