Men (trans): transmasculinities in education

In Brazil there is no deep survey of the transmasculine population, the recognition of the gender identities of these subjects, the social and political invisibility they face, as well as the multiple forms and expressions of violence that affect them daily. In this context, the objective of this research is to investigate how the insertion and permanence of men (trans) in teaching identify taboos, challenges, obstacles, confrontations, resistance and achievements that permeate their professional trajectories. For this purpose, 7 (seven) semi-structured interviews, both online and via WhatsApp, were carried out with men (trans) teachers from different cities of the country and later content analysis. It was sought to recognize the gender identities of these subjects and their performances in this context and record the multiple forms and expressions of violence that affect them daily as educators. It is observed that the challenges faced by the transsexual students are the same ones faced by the transsexual students, be they men or women, for example, use of the social name, correct treatment of gender, the use of the bathroom and the issue of exposure without the consent that many (trans) men spend in their work environments, which means that many, in the end, opt for the invisibility given to them by hormonal conditions, bodily alterations and rectification of documentation.No Brasil não há um levantamento aprofundado sobre a população transmasculina, o reconhecimento das identidades de gênero desses sujeitos, a invisibilidade social e política enfrentada por eles, bem como sobre as múltiplas formas e expressões de violência que os atingem diariamente. Neste contexto, o objetivo desta pesquisa é investigar como se dá a inserção e permanência de homens (trans) na docência identificando tabus, desafios, obstáculos, enfrentamentos, resistência e conquistas que permeiam suas trajetórias profissionais. Para tanto foram feitas 7 (sete) entrevistas semiestruturadas, online e via WhatsApp, com homens (trans) docentes de diversas cidades do país e posterior análise de conteúdo. Procurou-se reconhecer as identidades de gênero desses sujeitos e suas performances neste contexto e registrar as múltiplas formas e expressões de violência que os atingem diariamente enquanto educadores. Observa-se que os desafios enfrentados pelos discentes transexuais são os mesmos enfrentados pelos discentes transexuais, sejam eles homens ou mulheres, a exemplo, uso do nome social, o correto tratamento de gênero, o uso do banheiro e acresce-se a questão da exposição sem consentimento que muitos homens (trans) passam em seus ambientes de trabalho o que faz com que muitos, no fim, optam pela invisibilidade dada a eles por condições hormonais, alterações corporais e retificação de documentação
