Trajectories of peasant women in political leadership:resistances and achievements

In this dissertation we analyze the trajectories of two women farmers, Luciana Guzella Rafagnin and Zelide Cattelan Possamai, who were constituted as political leaders in the Southwest region of Paraná in the period between 1980 and 1990. In this sense, we try to understand what practices have permeated in their trajectories when political leaders, including gender issues, family agriculture, and the history of peasant struggles in the region that gave meaning to their experiences. The methodological course was based on qualitative research, in which the oral narratives were used through individual interviews, as well as the documentary analysis of public archives of the Association of Studies, Guidance and Rural Assistance (ASSESOAR) and participant observation in activities and events in 2017 and 2018, in which the women surveyed were present. From this, the analysis was based on the problematization of gender relations and the meaning of the work in relation to the rural women, observing which mechanisms made our interlocutors of the research constituted themselves as political leaders. We start from the discussion about productive and reproductive work in rural areas and then understand the meaning of leadership and political representation, permeated by the notion of identity, making us understand the intersectional relations from their plural identities. Another point of analysis runs through the networks and resistance strategies of Luciana and Zelide, in which we can perceive the trajectories that intersect with collective history at national and regional level in the period of redemocratization of the country after 1988, since they narrate , in its trajectories, the struggles and achievements made in the period. From this, the analysis of trajectories allowed us to recognize their processes of subjectivation before their constitutions as leadership, allowing us to understand issues that made them R-exist. In this sense, Luciana and Zelide formed as leaderships from the Catholic Church, the Rural Workers' Unions and ASSESOAR by Francisco Beltrão and a network of family support and friendships. As a theoretical perspective, we use the Decolonial Studies, which support us from concepts such as coloniality of knowledge / being / power, active subjectivity, colonial wound, territoriality among others, that strain us to reflect on the relations between colonized peoples, as in Latin America. From this perspective we observe the effects of modernity on women farmers and which mechanisms of resistance are built by subjects marked between what escapes and what approaches the logic of modernity, as well as the trajectories of Luciana, Zelide and so many other women farmers who held positions of political leadership.Nesta dissertação analisamos as trajetórias de duas mulheres agricultoras, Luciana Guzella Rafagnin e Zelide Cattelan Possamai que se constituíram enquanto lideranças políticas na região do Sudoeste do Paraná no período entre 1980 e 1990. Nesse sentido, buscamos compreender quais práticas que permearam em suas trajetórias ao se constituírem como lideranças políticas, incluindo as questões de gênero, da agricultura familiar e do histórico das lutas camponesas da região que deram sentido às suas experiências. O percurso metodológico se pautou por meio da pesquisa qualitativa, na qual foram utilizadas as narrativas orais por meio de entrevistas individuais, bem como a análise documental de arquivos públicos da Associação de Estudos, Orientação e Assistência Rural (ASSESOAR) e da observação participante em atividades e eventos no ano de 2017 e 2018, nas quais as mulheres pesquisadas estavam presentes. A partir disso, a análise percorreu pela problematização das relações de gênero e o sentido do trabalho em relação às mulheres rurais, observando quais mecanismos fez com que nossas interlocutoras da pesquisa se constituíssem enquanto lideranças políticas. Partimos da discussão sobre o trabalho produtivo e reprodutivo no meio rural para depois, compreender o sentido da liderança e representatividade política, permeada pela noção da identidade, nos fazendo compreender as relações interseccionais a partir de suas identidades plurais. Outro ponto de análise perpassa pelas redes e estratégias de resistências de Luciana e Zelide, nas quais pudemos perceber as trajetórias que se cruzam com a história coletiva a nível nacional e regional, frente ao período de redemocratização do país após o ano de 1988, pois elas narram, em suas trajetórias, as lutas e conquistas realizadas no período. A partir disso, a análise das trajetórias nos permitiu reconhecer seus processos de subjetivação frente a suas constituições enquanto liderança, nos permitindo compreender questões que as fizeram R-existir. Nesse sentido, Luciana e Zelide se constituíram enquanto lideranças a partir da Igreja Católica, dos Sindicatos de Trabalhadores Rurais e da ASSESOAR de Francisco Beltrão e de uma rede de apoio familiar e de amizades. Enquanto perspectiva teórica, utilizamos os Estudos Decoloniais, que nos amparam a partir de conceitos como colonialidade de saber/ser/poder, da subjetividade ativa, da ferida colonial, da territorialidade, entre outros, que nos tencionam a refletir sobre as relações entre os povos colonizados, como na América Latina. A partir desta perspectiva observamos os efeitos da modernidade sobre as mulheres agricultoras e quais mecanismos de resistência são construídos por sujeitos marcados entre o que foge e o que se aproxima da lógica da modernidade, assim como as trajetórias de Luciana, Zelide e de tantas outras mulheres agricultoras que exerceram cargos de lideranças políticas
