International audienceA method is proposed to solve large heterogeneous linear structures without scale separation assumption. The technique called Generalized FE2 method (GFE2) uses principles of the FE2 method originally introduced to solve multi scale problems and aims to approximate the full field solution in heterogeneous structures without any scale separation assumption by performing parallel calculations on subdomains. In the linear case, treated in this paper, direct linear relationships can be established between a reduced number of parameters describing Dirichlet boundary conditions on the subdomains and the solution on a coarse mesh. The accuracy of the method is analyzed through benchmarks, and applications to large industrial ...
