International audienceHuman-caused climate change, like the global change to which the notion of the Anthropocene refers, are areas in which contextualisation is problematic due to the scales involved, the gravity of the problems, and the central role of the sciences. This article considers studies that resituate these issues of global environment in historical, social and political contexts, as well as some of the problems they raise. The two domains have different statuses, and the stakes are dissimilar.
