The ANR project Sound Archives -European Memories of the Gulag is presented in this article. During this project, a series of interviews and written, photographic and even cinematographic archives were collected on people deported to the regions of the Great Russian North, Siberia and Central Asia between 1939 and 1941 and 1944 and 1953.
