HUBUNGAN LAMANYA PAPARAN ASAP KENDARAAN BERMOTOR TERHADAP KELUHAN DRY EYE SYNDROME PADA PEKERJA OJEK DI KOTA MALANG

Background: Dry eye syndrome cases are found in up to 50% worldwide, regardless of race, gender, or age. The incidence of dry eye syndrome in Asia is 93,2% higher than western world, this is affect by factors of temperature, environment and humidity. Duration of traffic related air pollutions exposure on the motorcycle taxi workers in Malang has an effect with the degree of dry eye syndrome. Air pollution accumulated on the ocular surface for a long time can have an impact on the ocular surface until the symptoms of dry eye syndrome showed up. Objective: To find out the correlation between the duration of traffic related air pollutions exposure with the illness degree of dry eye syndrome on motorcycle taxi workers in Malang City. Methods: This was analytic observational with spearman correlation. Using purposive sampling technique. Sample used in this research are 100 male motorcycle taxi workers that has a duty on field.
