Modifikasi Algoritma Idris untuk Pencarian Kata Dasar pada Teks Berbahasa Indonesia

Stemming is a process to find the root words of derivative word by applying the appropriate Indonesian morphological rules. One of the stemming algorithm is Idris algorithm. Idris algorithm which is a Malay stemming algorithm can also be used for stemming Indonesian text. Idris algorithm has an advantage in the speed of the stemming process but the level of accuracy is still low which is caused by an error cutting affix. Therefore, this study modify the Idris algorithm to obtain a better level of accuracy and stemming results. This study used 10 excerpts of Indonesian novels. The results show that the modified Idris algorithm has an increased accuracy with a difference of 5.25% from the original Idris algorithm. Modification of the Idris algorithm obtain a good accuracy.
