An evaluation of on-line language course at adana vocational school of Çukurova University

In addition, it investigates what the recipients think about the effectiveness of this programme and the problems they encounter as well as offering solutions from the students' point of view. In order to achieve this aim, various instruments were used. First of all, students were asked to send messages to the researcher and comment on the effectiveness of the e-language learning programme, and then a questionnaire by which the students evaluate the programme from different perspectives was administered. Next, they were interviewed to identify the weaknesses and strengths of the programme. Finally, the messages which the e-learners sent to the student affairs forum throughout the term were analyzed. The results reveal that the students face certain problems such as lack of interaction and communication with their teachers and school administrators, supplementary materials that would enhance their learning process, audio-visual aids together with problems regarding exam procedures and cargo servicesBu çalışma, Çukurova Üniversitesi Adana Meslek Yüksekokulu'nda verilen uzaktan yabancı dil egitim programının genelde kabul gören uzaktan egitim standartlarına uyup uymadıgını araştırmaktadır. Ayrıca, programda egitim alan ögrencilerin bu program hakkındaki fikirlerini de incelemekte ve var olan problemleri tanımlayarak bunlara çözümler sunmayı hedeflemektedir. Bu amaç dogrultusunda bir takım veri toplama yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Ilk olarak, ögrencilerden araştırmacıya programın etkinliginin tartıştıkları mesajlar göndermeleri, daha sonra programı farklı açılardan degerlendirdikleri bir ankete cevap vermeleri istenmiş ve programla ilgili sorunları saptamak üzere görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Son olarak, uzaktan egitim ögrencilerinin ögrenci işleri forumuna gönderdikleri mesajlar programın güçlü ve zayıf yanlarını ortaya çıkarmak amacı ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları, ögrencilerin ögretmen ve yöneticilerle iletişimde, ögrenmeyi destekleyici ek materyallerde, görsel-işitsel desteklerde eksikliklerin yanı sıra sınav süreçlerinde ve kargo hizmetlerinde sorun yaşadıklarını ortaya koymuştur.Bu çalışma Ç.Ü.
