The effects of short starvation and refeeding on lipitmetabolism in European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) at different temperatures.

TEZ8898Tez (Yüksek Lisans) -- Çukurova Üniversitesi, Adana, 2013.Kaynakça (s. 59-73) var.ix, 75 s. : res. ; 29 cm.This study is conducted with European Sea Bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and the fish were divided into two groups and the water temperature is determinated as 22oC and 15oC. And then the fish were fed for 30 days and starved for 9 days. At the end of starvation period the water temperature of two tanks which belong to 15oC group, was increased to 22oC degree within 24 hours and later all groups refeed for 12 days. Liver, ventral, dorsal muscle and plasma were sampled on determinated days. Generally, after the 30 days feeding period a strong decrease had been observed for the levels of plasma metabolites, (triglyceride, glucose and cholesterol) with the starvation period for all temperature groups. By the beginning of reefeding period the levels of plasma metabolites had been recovered their self immediately and stay stable at the end of the refeeding period. In conclusion, results of this study showed that sea bass experience rapid metabolic adjustments to both short starvation and refeeding and that water temperature significantly influences the metabolic responses to these nutritional challenges.Avrupa deniz levreği (Dicentrarchus labrax) ile gerçekleştirilen çalışmada balıklar iki gruba ayrılmış ve su sıcaklıkları 22oC ve 15oC olacak şekilde belirlenerek ve 30 gün boyunca beslenmiş ve ardından 9 günlük bir açlık periyoduna maruz bırakılmışlardır. Bu açlık periyodu sonunda 15oC grubuna ait 4 tankın ikisinin su sıcaklığı 24 saat içerisinde 22oC'ye çıkarılmış ve her grup için 12 günlük geri besleme periyodu başlatılmıştır. Açlık ve geri besleme periyodunun belirlenen günlerinde ventral ve dorsal kas bölgeleri ve karaciğer örneklemeleri yapılmıştır. Genel olarak 30 günlük besleme periyodu ardından tüm sıcaklık gruplarının plazma metabolitleri trigliserit, glikoz ve kolesterol seviyelerinde açlık periyodunun ilk günü ile birlikte bir düşüş ve geri besleme ile miktarlarında kuvvetli bir artış ve geri besleme periyodu sonunda sabit kalma eğilimi görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak, kısa sureli açlık sonrası levreğin hızlı metabolik düzenlemeler gerçekleştirebildiği ve bu metabolik ayarlamaların sıcaklık ve besin miktarıdan önemli derecede etkilendiğini gözlemlenmiştir.Bu çalışma Ç.Ü.
