Applications of medical image processing techniques on a biomechanics system

But control of this biomedical system is very difficult. A mathematica model has been developed to improve quality of this service. Most of the parameters which are used in this theory have been obtained from two orthogonal medical images; one from Antero-Posterior, AP, direction and the other from lateral, L, direction. The quality of the results of this theory is dependent on the accuracy of the input parameters. Measuring these parameters takes a lot of time and accuracy of the results are low. The aim of this study is to prepare a software to make these measurements automatically and faster, to increase the accuracy of the results and thereby contrubuting to the improved accuracy of the calculations associated with the mathematical model..Ortopedi alanında ekstremite kırıkların tedavisinde eksternal fiksatorler kullanılmaktadır. Fakat eksternal fiksator olarak adlandırılan bu biyomekanik yapının kontrol u cok zordur. Bu isin daha dogru sekilde yapılabilmesi icin bir matematik model gelistirilmistir. Bu modelde parametre olarak kullanılan verilerin bir cogu sistemin birbirine dik, biri karsıdan (AP) ve digeri dıs yandan L cekilmis iki rontgen filminden elde edilmektedir. Bu modelin verecegi sonucların kalitesi verilerin hassas bir sekilde elde edilmesine baglıdır. Fakat bu verilerin manuel bir ekilde okunması hem cok uzun zaman almakta hemde verilerin beklenilen hassasiyette alınamamasına yol acmaktadır. Yapılan bu calısmanın amacı yukarıda tarif edilen verilerin okunması isleminin otomatiklestirilip hızlandırılması, sonucların kalitesinin arttırılması ve matematik modeldeki hesaplamaların yapılabilmesi amacıyla bir yazılımın hazırlanmasıdır.Bu çalışma Ç.Ü.
