Yield and pomological characteristics under Adana ecological conditions of some clementine mandarins derived from selection in Turkey

In this study, seven different clementine mandarins selected from Turkey were evaluated in terms of yield and fruit quality. These selections were made during a 4-year search for individual trees with high yield and fruit quality throughout Turkey's main citrus production areas. Selections were grafted on sour orange (Citrus aurantium L.) rootstock and planted at a uniform site in Adana. Once these trees were mature, the yield and pomological characteristics of the selected clones were determined under Adana ecological conditions for 3 consecutive years. According to the observed data, the clone '22 D' was the most promising in terms of yield, while '90 A' and '22 D' had the combined attributes of high yield and high fruit quality
