A case of systemic lupus erythematosus presenting with psychiatric symptoms

Sistemik lupus eritematosus (SLE) henüz nedeni tam aydınlatılamamış, birçok sistemi tutabilen, süregen, otoimmün bir hastalıktır. SLE’de merkezi sinir sistemi tutulumu en önemli ve en sık görülen durumdur. Görülen nöropsikiyatrik belirtiler içinde doğrudan damar lezyonuna bağlı olanlar yanısıra bilişsel ve duygu/durum bozuklukları önemli bir yer tutar. Ruhsal belirtilerle başlayan SLE olguları oldukça seyrektir ve tanı konması güçtür. Bu yazıda bipolar II bozukluk tanısını düşündürecek belirtilerle başlayan bir SLE olgusu sunulmuş ve kaynakların ışığında tartışılmıştırSystemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic and multisystem autoimmune disease. The etiology of SLE still remains unclear. Central nervous system involvement is a common and an important complication of SLE. Neuropsychiatric manifestations consist of the symptoms which are directly related to the vascular lesions and also cognitive and affective disorders. The patients having SLE with onset of psychiatric symptoms are very rare and diagnosing such cases is difficult.
