This research was done to assess the nutritional status with comparison of the physical growth and development by using some anthropometric measures of 3-6 years old children attending to private and government nursery schools in Adana region. The percentage of children attending to private nursery schools (PNS) was 41.4 %, whereas of those attending to government nursery schools (GNS) was 58.6 %. The number of boys and girls was investigated in the research equal. 18.2 % of the children were in 3-years, 20.7 % of the children were in 4-years, 22.9 % of the children were in 5-years and 38.2 % of the children were in 6-years group.
