Comparison with the problem-solving skills of different positions and demographic characteristics of sport of teams at b category of handball of universities [Üniversiteler hentbol b kategorisindeki takimlarin, mevkilerine ve demografik özelliklerine göre problem çözme becerilerinin karşilaştirilmasi]

This study aims to compare the problem-solving skills with different positions, ages and age of sport of teams at B category of handball of universities. In this study 97 persons have been participated (averages of age: 21.37 ± 1.95 (female: 20.89 ± 1.74, male: 22.00 ± 2.05) who were included ten handball team (female: 55 (%56.7), male: 42 (%43.3) of nine university voluntarily. At this study, Problem Solving Inventory was used. Form A had developed by Heppner and Peterson (1982) and had adapted by Şahin. The statistical analyses were carried out through the one way anova test, frequency distribution, mean and standard deviation, in the SPSS package program on the Windows version. The results revealed averages of the problem-solving skill of the handball players. Statistically significant differences were found between Karadeniz Technical University (n=11; x= 75.27±11.65), and Cumhuriyet University (n=13; x= 99.54±18.26). However, no statistically differences were found between averages of the problem-solving skill and different position, ages, sport ages (p>0.05)
