Bu çalışmada kenaf biyokütlesinin subkritik su içinde hidrolizi sonucu çözünmeden kalan katı atığın katalitik gazlaştırılması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Gazlaştırma deneyleri farklı sıcaklıklarda (400, 500, 600, 700 °C), 0,62 cm dış ve 0,40 cm iç çapındaki paslanmaz çelikten yapılmış ve uzunluğu 40 cm olan reaktörde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deneylerde katalizör olarak K2CO3, CaO, TiO2, Fe2O3 ve karbon destekli %5’lik Ru kullanıldı. Katalizörsüz deneylerde hidrojen oluşumu gözlenmezken en yüksek hidrojen (947 mL H2) verimi 700 °C’de Ru katalizörü kullanıldığında elde edilmiştir. 700 °C’de yapılan gazlaştırma deneyleri sonunda elde edilen sulu çözeltilerin toplam organik karbon (TOC) değerleri kullanılan katalizöre bağlı olarak TiO2 ?
