An investigation of roles different levels of sclerot in potatoes on Rhizoctonia solani infections and effectiveness of fungicides tuber treatments for control of diseases.

Additionally, effects of some chemicals like Celest, Maxim, Rizolex, Dynasty, Vitavax and Pomarsol Forte on the formation of diseases and against mycelial growth of pathogen in vitro in some varieties of commercial potatoes grown widely in our country were also studied. It has been found out that Marfona is the most sensitive cultivar of potato to different levels of sclerot, and Vangogh is the most resistant. The largest number of stems was formed by Granola variety, while Vangogh had the least number of stems. The study investigated the effects of different kinds of inoculum on formation of diseases, and no statistical difference has been observed between Granola, Latona and Marfona. While Granola and Marfona have similar sizes of stems, Latona has a larger one. Rizolex has the highest mycelial growth of pathogen in vitro followed by Celest, Maxim, Dynasty and Vitavax respectively. Pomarsol Forte is the fungicide having the lowest impact. In the study exploring effects of fungicides on Rhizoctonia solani's role in formation of diseases in different inoculum varieties using the dipping method in potato tubers with sclerot, Celest has the highest impact followed by Dynasty, Rizolex, Maxim and Vitavax respectively. Pomarsol Forte has the lowest impact once more. In artificial inoculum application, treatments of seeds using the tuber dipping method have been unsuccessful in preventing disease formation.Bu çalışmada, Rhizoctonia solani'nin inokulum tipi ve yoğunluğunun infeksiyon gelişmesi açısından önemi araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca Celest, Maxim, Rizolex, Dynasty, Vitavax ve Pomarsol kimyasallarının in vitro'da patojenin miseliyal gelişmesine ve bazı ticari patates çeşitlerinde hastalık oluşumu üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Patates çeşitleri içerisinde farklı sklerot düzeylerinde en duyarlı Marfona, en dayanıklı ise Vangogh olmuştur. En fazla gövdeyi Granola çeşidi oluştururken, en az gövdeyi Vangogh çeşidi oluşturmuştur. Farklı inokulum tiplerinin hastalık oluşumu üzerine etkilerinin de araştırıldığı çalışmada, Granola, Latona ve Marfona patates çeşitleri arasında istatistiksel olarak fark gözlenmemiştir. En fazla gövdeyi Latona çeşidi oluştururken, Granola ve Marfona benzer sayıda gövde oluşturmuştur. İn vitro'da patojenin miseliyal gelişmesi üzerine en yüksek etkiyi Rizolex gösterirken, bunu sırasıyla Celest, Maxim, Dynasty ve Vitavax izlemiştir. Pomarsol Forte ise, en düşük etkiyi gösteren fungisit olmuştur. Farklı inokulum tiplerinde, fungisitlerin Rhizoctonia solani'nin hastalık oluşturması üzerine etkilerinin denendiği çalışmada, sklerotlu yumruya uygulanan daldırma yönteminde en yüksek etkiyi Celest gösterirken, bunu sırasıyla Dynasty, Rizolex, Maxim ve Vitavax izlemiştir. Yine en düşük etkiyi Pomarsol Forte göstermiştir. Yapay inokulum uygulamalarında ise yumru daldırması şeklinde uygulanan tohum ilaçlamaları hastalık oluşumunu engellemede başarısız olmuştur
