Mayıs 1993-Ocak 1995 tarihleri arasındaki sürede ELISA ve lateks agiutinasyon (LA) yöntemi ile beş yaşın altındaki ishalli 152 çocuğun dışkı örneklerinde Rotavirus (RV) antijeni araştırıldı. Örneklerin 70'i kız, 82'si erkek çocuklara aitti. ELISA ile % 20.39 (31/152), LA ile % 25.65 (39/152) oranında pozitiflik elde edildi. ELISA ile en yüksek pozitiflik kış aylarında (% 29.41), en düşük pozitiflik ise yaz aylarında (% 12.5) saptandı.
