Spor takımlarına katılan ve katılmayan görme engelli öğrencilerin benlik saygılarının değerlendirilmesi

The study was carried out in Oğuz Kağan Köksal Visually Disabled school in the district of Seyhan- Adana. The study performed on 40 students and it had taken four weeks. In this study Coopersmith self esteem forms and personel information forms were used. The personel information forms include questions about gender, age, any extra person handicap, if there is, its level, and education status. Furtheremore, the form researches there is any members in students' families with visual disabled. These forms were filled one by one for every students with help of the students' development files and the questions which were asked to the students and their teachers. Coopersmith self esteem forms are transformed to the braille alphabet and used for visually impaired students for the first time, so, before that, validity and reliability of the questions are tested. After 4 weeks, Correlation and KR 20 calculations were made on the data from self esteem forms by using test-repetition method. And, it was determined that the self esteem forms were acceptable and reliable. Also, T test analysis was made on the data from forms. According to result of analysis, it has been seen, there is not any meaningful effect of ""being sensitive to the light"", ""gender"" and ""attending to sport teams"" on the mean of self esteem grades.Tarama modelindeki bu çalışmada, spor takımlarında görev alıp almamanın, görme engelli öğrencilerin benlik saygıları üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma 2005-2006 öğretim yılının güz yarıyılında Adana ili Seyhan İlçesindeki Oğuz Kağan Görme Engelliler İlköğretim Okulu'nda yapılmıştır. Araştırma toplam 40 öğrenci üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir, 4 hafta sürmüştür. Araştırmada ""Coopersmith Benlik Envanteri"" ile ""Kişisel Bilgi Formu"" kullanılmıştır. ""Kişisel Bilgi Formu""nda öğrencilerin cinsiyet, yaş, ek özrün olup olmaması, ek özür varsa ne düzeyde olduğu, eğitim durumu, ailede başka görme engelli olup olmamasına yönelik sorular yer almıştır. Bu formlar öğrenci gelişim dosyaları, öğretmen ve öğrencilere sorulan sorular yardımıyla her öğrenci için tek tek doldurulmuştur. ""Coopersmith Benlik Envanteri"" Braille alfabesine çevrilmiş ve öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan envanter ilk kez görme engelli öğrencilerde kullanılıyor olduğundan geçerlik, güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Test- tekrar yöntemi kullanılarak 4 hafta sonra yeniden uygulanan envanterden edinilen veriler üzerinde korelasyon ve KR 20 hesaplamaları yapılmıştır. Envanter geçerli ve güvenilir bulunmuştur. Veriler üzerinde t-testi analizi yapılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonunda spor takımlarında görev almanın, cinsiyet ve ışık algısının, benlik saygısı puan ortalamaları açısından anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı görülmüştür.Bu çalışma Ç.Ü.
