Synthesis of two new vic-dioxime ligands containing azo group and their complexes with ni(ii) and cu(ii)

Two vic-dioxime ligands were synthesised by reacting antidichloroglyoxime with 4-aminoazobenzene and 2',3-dimethyl-4-aminoazobenzene, respectively, and then their nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes were synthesised. The ligands and complexes were characterised by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements and 'H nmr, infrared, UV-visible and atomic absorbtion spectroscopy. © 1994, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
