In this study, an energy and exergy analysis is applied to a ceiling-type air conditioning (CTAC) system operating with various refrigerants. Firstly, the hourly cooling load capacities of a sample building are determined for the months of April, May, June, July, August and September. The cooling load capacity is determined using the hourly analysis program (HAP). Secondly, the coefficient of performance (COP), exergy efficiency and exergy destruction values of the whole system, and each of its components, are determined.
