New pmt tests in hadronic forward calorimeter (hf) and jet analysis for different type of jets and algorithms.

The Hadron Forward Calorimeter (HF) is a subsystem of the Hadronic Calorimeter (HCAL) in the CMS. In this thesis LED and SPE data is extensively used to check PMTs gain and relative response for the different HVs and intensities. HF's main aim is to detect hadronic jets and to increase the missing transverse energy resolution of the CMS. In some instances. These jets are the distinct characteristic of many important physics processes. In this study jets in the HF calorimeter are also presented. Jets are reconstructed with the anti-kTalgorithm (size R = 0.5 and 0.7), PFJets and CaloJets distributions are compared for anti-kT jet algorithm for different cone radii.Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) dedektör Büyük Hadron Çarpıştırıcı (BHÇ)'daki çok amaçlı iki dedektörden biridir. İleri Hadronik Kalorimetre (HF) CMS'deki Hadronik Kalorimetre (HKAL)'nin bir alt sistemidir. Bu tezde Foto Çoğaltıcı Tüp (FÇT)'ler farklı HV ve yoğunlukta LED ve SPE verileri ile kontrol edilmiştir. HF'in temel amaçlarından biri hadronik jetleri varlamak ve CMS'in kayıp dik enerji çözünürlüğünü artırmaktır. Bu jetler birçok önemli fizik süreçlerinin belirgin özelliklerini taşır. Bu çalışmada HF'deki jetler de araştırılmıştır. Jetler antikt(R=0,5 ve R=0,7) algoritması kullanılarak yapılandırılmıştır, parçacık akısı ve kalorimetre jet dağılımları farklı koni boyutları ile karşılaştırılmıştır.Bu çalışma Ç.Ü.
