The Hadron Forward Calorimeter (HF) is a subsystem of the Hadronic Calorimeter (HCAL) in the CMS. In this thesis LED and SPE data is extensively used to check PMTs gain and relative response for the different HVs and intensities. HF's main aim is to detect hadronic jets and to increase the missing transverse energy resolution of the CMS. In some instances.
