Dik eğimli arazideki orman yolu inşaatları ekolojik dengeye zarar verebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, dozer ve ekskavatör makine türleri ile çok dik eğimli arazide (>%51) örnek alanlar seçilerek incelemeler yapılmış, orman yollarının yapımı sırasında ormana verilen doğrudan çevresel zararlar tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ekskavatör ile yapılan çalışmada açılan orman alanının dozere göre %26,54 oranında daha az olduğu belirlenmiştir. Dozer ile çalışma yapılan alanda görsel bozukluk oluşturan şeridin, ekskavatörle çalışma yapılan alandan iki kat daha büyük olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca inşaat boyunca yamaç aşağı atılan fazla materyal, yol güzergahı altındaki ağaçlarda dozer ile çalışmada %55, ekskavatörle çalışmada %31 oranında hasara neden olmakta...
