Amaç: Celiac hastalığı gluten ile indüklenen, ince bağırsaklarda villöz atrofi ve malabsorpsiyon ile karakterize bir hastalıktır. Demir eksikliği anemisi bu hastalığın önemli bir prezantasyon şekli veya ilk bulgusu olabilir. Bu çalışmada, gastrointestinal sistem endoskopik incelemesinde kan kaybını açıklayacak bulgu saptanmayan demir eksikliği anemili olgularda celiac hastalığı prevalansını araştırmayı amaçladık. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Demir eksikliği anemisi tanısı konmuş, üst ve alt gastrointestinal sistem endoskopik incelemesinde kan kaybını açıklayacak bulgu saptanmayan toplam 39 olgu çalışma grubunu, üst gastrointestinal sistem endoskopisi yapılan yaş ve cinsiyet uyumlu, anemik olmayan 35 olgu kontrol grubunu oluşturdu.
