Background: Bronchoalveolar lavage is considered a helpful tool in the diagnosis of diffuse parenchimal lung diseases such as sarcoidosis. CD4/CD8 ratio is higly specific but not sensitive to distinguish sarcoidosis and other intestitial lung diseases.
