Experiments were performed as a function of initial metal concentration, adsorbent dosage, aqueous solution pH and temperature, and adsorption time. The optimum values of peat dosage, pH, initial metal concentration, solution temperature and contact time were determined to be 2 g peat/L solution, 6, 5mg Pb(II) and Ni(II)/L solution, 20°C and 60 minutes, respectively.
