Soil degradation through erosion: main conditioning agents and socioenvironmental impacts caused by gullies in the lake of Zé Açu, Parintins-AM

Nos últimos anos a degradação do solo por meio da erosão tem promovido inúmeras alterações tanto em ambientes rurais quanto urbanos, gerando a partir dos seus efeitos, várias consequências para os grupos sociais afetados com tal dinâmica. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho teve por objetivo principal compreender os principais agentes condicionantes para a formação e desenvolvimento de voçorocas na cabeceira do Jará, localizada no Lago do Zé Açu, zona rural do município de Parintins-AM, e como específicos verificar a classificação quanto ao tipo e forma dessas incisões; descrever as outras feições erosivas encontradas no local e identificar os principais problemas socioambientais gerados a partir dessa forma de degradação do solo. Para tal, o estudo esteve pautado nas bases do método dedutivo, onde se utilizou os seguintes procedimentos metodológicos: Levantamento bibliográfico; trabalho de campo; análise microbiológica da água; entrevistas com os moradores e a utilização de Sistemas de Informação Geográfica (SIG) e imagens de satélite. Com os resultados pôde-se compreender que os principais agentes condicionantes para o surgimento das voçorocas na área de estudo são: o alto índice de precipitação do município e o seu escoamento superficial e subsuperficial; o tipo de solo que possui em sua base um horizonte com grande concentração de material arenoso; a forma do relevo, pois a maioria das encostas apresenta configuração convexa com aproximadamente 45° de declividade, propícia a erosão; e como um dos principais agentes, o uso do solo para práticas pecuárias extensivas, sendo o desmatamento de áreas de mata ciliar e o pisoteio do gado os iniciadores dos processos erosivos. Entre os principais danos socioambientais causados pela erosão destacam-se, o abandono da terra por parte dos moradores, a constante ocorrência de doenças como diarréia e vômitos causados pelo consumo de água contaminada que apresentou tanto Coliformes Totais quanto Escherichia Coli, impróprios para o consumo humano em decorrência de indicadores fecais e a morte de várias nascentes e de peixes afetados com o assoreamento que se estende e aproxima cada vez mais das comunidades e que pode no futuro interromper o curso superior do Lago do Zé Açu.In recent years, soil degradation through erosion has Changes in both rural and urban environments, generating, from their effects, several Consequences for the social groups affected by such dynamics.
