The Blythe 7 ½' Quadrangle straddles the Colorado River, including the City of Blythe, California and areas to the south, in western Arizona and eastern California. The map encompasses much of the lateral extent of the Holocene river floodplain, which is almost entirely in California, and the lower piedmont east of the river in Arizona. This mapping complements previous mapping efforts in this area (Spencer et al., 2015; Gootee et al., 2016a; 2016b).
