We studied the nutrition of larvae Chironomus plumosusL., Glyptotendipes barbipes Staeg. and Cricotopus gr. silvestrisF. In the intestines of Ch. plumosusalgae ranged from 30 to 62 % by weight of the food bolus, at Gl. barbipes – 36–61 %, and in the intestines of Cr. gr. silvestris – more than 50 %
