Intervención en lenguaje, comunicación e interacción social en el proceso del diagnóstico diferencial entre Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) y Trastorno de la Comunicación Social (TCS). Estudio de un caso.

Curs acadèmic: 2018/2019This paper shows the process of psycho-pedagogical evaluation in a child who is in the first year of Early Childhood Education in an ordinary center. In the evaluation process some doubts arise due to the new groupings of the latest edition of the Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5): Whether Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Social Communication Disorder (SCD). The SCD poses new challenges in the differential diagnosis between the two disorders due to the possible overlap of symptoms in the social area, being the area of repetitive and restricted patterns of behavior, activities and interests, the key to making the differential diagnosis. Thus, in the current Master's Thesis an intervention program is carried out that tries to address the deficits present in the participant in three areas, answering the following question: Does intervention in language, communication and social interaction help to enhance the necessary autonomy according to the child's age? For this, an individualized intervention is carried out where aspects related to language and communication are worked on, and on the other hand, an inclusive intervention related to the established objectives for social interaction. Finally, the positive impact of using this type of intervention at an early age is verified, as well as providing information to determine the diagnosis.El presente trabajo muestra el proceso de evaluación psicopedagógica en un niño que cursa el primer año de Educación Infantil en un centro ordinario. En el proceso de evaluación surgen algunas dudas debido a las nuevas agrupaciones de la última edición del Diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders (DSM-5): ¿Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) o Trastorno de la Comunicación Social (TSC)? El TCS plantea nuevos retos en el diagnóstico diferencial entre ambos trastornos por el posible solapamiento de sintomatología en el área social, siendo el área de Patrones repetitivos y restringidos de conducta, actividades e intereses, la clave para poder realizar el diagnóstico diferencial. Así pues, en el actual Trabajo Fin de Máster (TFM) se lleva a cabo un programa de intervención que trata de abordar los déficits presentes en el participante en tres ámbitos respondiendo a la siguiente pregunta: ¿la intervención en lenguaje, comunicación e interacción social ayuda a potenciar la autonomía necesaria acorde a la edad del niño? Para ello, se lleva a cabo una intervención individualizada donde se trabajan los aspectos relacionados con el lenguaje y la comunicación y, por otro lado, una intervención inclusiva relacionada con los objetivos establecidos para la interacción social. Finalmente, se constata la repercusión positiva que supone emplear este tipo de intervención en edades tempranas además de proporcionar información para determinar el diagnóstico
