Computer Aided Design (CAD) Werkzeuge sind essenzielle Bestandteile in industriellen Design Prozessen. Im Gegensatz zum großen Bereich der numerischen Strömungsmechanik (Computational Fluid Dynamics - CFD) wurden die geometrischen Sensitivitäten, für Gradienten-basierte Optimierung von CAD-parametrisierter Geometrie, bislang nur mit ungenauen Finiten Differenzen berechnet.
