\u3cp\u3eA method to characterize motion color artifacts from temporal step response measurements of the primary colors is proposed. The apparent image is calculated from the Motion Picture Response Curves, which are the result of the convolution of the step responses with a one-frame wide shift function. The model predictions are validated with a perception experiment.\u3c/p\u3
