International audienceCarbon fibre reinforced polyphenylene sulphide is widely adopted as an engineering material in aeronautical and automobile domains. This high performance thermoplastic composite is known for an impact, damage and chemical resistance. To the authors' knowledge, the moisture absorption capacity and desorption/absorption kinetics have not yet been studied in an in-depthmanner due to the fact that the material is known for its low moisture absorption. We suggest a conditioning protocol to fully check the real influence of the small quantity of absorbed water.In addition, the impact of temperature on mechanical properties remains an important parameter that should be characterised.
