Breve panorama de la narrativa lesbica española del siglo XX: Funciones y relevancia del erotismo

From the beginning of the 20th century, the representation of the female homo-eroticism in the Spanish narrative has shown an interesting and unequal wide range. We will take into account texts that reflect loving relationships between women –in a hidden or in an explicit way-, as much in novels where female homosexuality is not the main topic, as in others where this is the primary issue. Paying attention to female written works, we will address the presence of eroticism in this corpus, presenting the evolution of its nature and characteristics. We will start with early novels such as Zezé (1909), by Ángeles Vicente, and continue with important examples of late 20th-century narrative in the review of implications of homo-eroticism in the character’s identity, intimacy and public and social life.Desde principios del siglo XX, la representación del homoerotismo femenino en la narrativa española ha tenido un carácter desigual y variado de enorme interés. Nos encontramos con textos que reflejan las relaciones amorosas entre mujeres –de forma velada o explícita-, tanto en novelas donde la homosexualidad femenina no es el tema principal, como en otras donde sí es este su eje temático central. Prestando atención a las obras de autoría femenina, abordaremos la presencia del erotismo en esta novelística, dando cuenta de la evolución de su naturaleza y rasgos definitorios. Partiremos de novelas tempranas como Zezé (1909), de Ángeles Vicente, hasta llegar a importantes exponentes de la narrativa de finales del siglo XX y principios del XXI. Nos interesan, sobre todo, las implicaciones del homoerotismo en la identidad, intimidad, así como en la vida pública y social de los personajes
