Contour of the Russian Federation from a point of 90° eastern longitude on geostationary orbit was used to execute iterative phase synthesis method. For reflectarray realization a single-layer element consisting of a ring with a gap was selected because of their simplicity and the independence of reflected phase from the manufacturing tolerance. Measurements of the reflectarray prototype were carried out in an anechoic chamber by the method of near-field scanning.
