Social media continue to be a prevailing topic in the strategic communication studies, with a predominant focus on how to leverage new technologies to the advantage of organisations, especially corporations. Yet little is known about how social media could be utilised for non - profit organisations such as higher education systems, whose mission goes beyond profit accumulation to serving public interest.
