Emotional expressions are vital in everyday interactions. However, how people use bodily motions to express emotions still needs to be fully explored. On the other hand, interactions which people engage with digital devices are rapidly increasing. Human to human interactions are also increasingly mediated by digital devices. This research will explore how movements of different form elements of a physical device can express emotions in a way similar to how human body movements express emotion. This research aims to develop a framework followed by a range of expressive physical movement designs.
