An examination of Indonesian prison officers' experiences on deradicalisation: Towards better practice

This thesis examines the experiences of Indonesian prison officers implementing prison-based deradicalisation programs. It investigates challenges faced by Indonesian prison officers implementing such programs and analyses their views related to the establishment of a specialised prison for terrorists in the Indonesian correctional system. An evaluation of the needs of Indonesian prison officers in implementing prison-based deradicalisation programs found that appropriate trainings and good partnerships are essential.
